An editor in the publishing industry for over twenty years, Kathleen Tracy
began making small quilts in 2000 and soon turned her hobby into a profession with her pattern and kit business. Small antique
quilts and the women and children who made them hold a particular interest and Kathleen hopes that her books inspire
others to learn more about America's quilting heritage. She lectures to quilt guilds and teaches workshops on small quilts
and their historical significance. Currently, she is hard at work on her third book for Martingale & Co., due to
be published in 2008. She lives in Deerfield, Illinois, with her husband, two children and their Wheaten Terrier. She
loves to hear from other quilters and questions from beginners are always welcome.
